The people behind Honey Road





After having joined the team at Oleana in Cambridge, Ma in 2010, Cara quickly worked her way up to Chef de Cuisine and in 2015, Cara was awarded the honor of Rising Star Chef by Star Chefs Magazine.  She also led the kitchen at Oleana to be named one of the top 38 restaurants in the country by Eater National and one of the top 38 restaurants in the world by Conde Nast Traveler.

In the Fall of 2016, Cara fulfilled a lifelong dream of moving to her husband's home state of Vermont to be near family and open a restaurant. The combination of her California roots, her love for the flavors of the eastern Mediterranean and the fresh, local ingredients of Vermont have all come together to form the unique cuisine and atmosphere of her new venture…Honey Road Restaurant.






From 2013 to 2015, Allison was General Manager of the James Beard award winning restaurant, Hen of the Wood Waterbury and the opening General Manager for Hen of the Wood in Burlington. Allison was promoted to Operations Director for the group, which now includes Doc Ponds in Stowe, in 2016. 

Allison is deeply rooted in the Vermont food community and is energized by the farmers, organizations, and businesses who work hard to create a sustainable and delicious food culture.
